Shelley Moore

Shelley is trained in all styles of dance, with a particular passion for Lyrical and Contemporary, and is a graduate of the Bachelor of Dance/Bachelor of Education UNSW (Distinction) degree. Her diverse performance and choreographic experience includes working with prominent Melbourne-based company Chunky Move, numerous independent Australian choreographers including Narelle Benjamin and Vicki Van Hout, featured in TV commercials such as Samsung, Bonds, AMP and KFC, and an impressive silver medal placing at the World Aerobics Championships in Europe.

With over 10 years experience as a sought-after choreographer and dance educator, Shelley continues to enjoy a varied and active industry profile, such as teaching regularly at Sydney Dance Company, touring all over the world as the NSW Choreographer to the Australian Girls Choir (of Qantas ad fame), Director of Programs and Training for REDed (Raw Energy Dance Education), teaching national and international workshops for the Royal Academy of Dance, guest teaching and choreographing for professional dancers in Tahiti, and choreographing for many nation-wide primary and secondary schools. Shelley is the Founder and Director of DanceMoore Choreography – her own online business that connects dancers and teachers to her Contemporary choreography worldwide with Teacher Programs and Solo Routines available to purchase.

On the competition circuit, Shelley’s DanceMoore solo and group routines have impressive success at major eisteddfods and regularly feature in the Sydney Eisteddfod Dance of Champions. Shelley also delivers dance to regional and remote areas of Australia with the Girls from Oz program, working specifically with young Indigenous women and using the performing arts to connect, engage and empower. She is an invited adjudicator and Prize Sponsor of the Sydney Eisteddfod and guest teaches at several dance studios and training institutions around Sydney including The McDonald College, Ev & Bow and Algeria Full Time courses.
