Helen joins Ecole after more than twenty five years of running Northbridge Dance Studios. Prior to that Helen had a successful ballet career in London, Switzerland and Thailand.

 

Helen’s full time training began in London at The Arts Educational School studying under Brian Loftus, Anne Heaton, John Field to name a few.  She toured UK with the school company dancing Scheherazade, Giselle, Swan Lake and excerpts from the ballets. She was also chosen to perform at the London Palladium for the Royal Family.  

 

After graduating from The Arts Educational School, Helen successfully auditioned throughout Europe and chose to join Lucerne Ballet Company in Switzerland.  Under the direction of Deiter Amman and then Ricardo Duse she danced many ballets including Giselle, The Fairies Kiss, Transfigured Night, Faust plus new works from various choreographers. 

 

Following her time at the Lucerne Ballet Company, Helen joined Basel Ballet under the direction of Heinz Spoerli, here as a soloist she danced in ballets such as Swan Lake, La Fille Mal Gardee, The Nutcracker and toured to Italy and Germany with the company.

Helen moved to Australia, where she taught at various ballet schools before taking over Northbridge Dance Studios, which she successfully ran for over 25 years. Since selling Northbridge Dance Studios in 2017, she has been a freelance teacher around Sydney and was nominated and appointed to the RAD NSW Advisory Panel in 2019.
